Evidently, everybody, save for Barger, was going clamming after they were through in the studio.....

Tom Snyder - a late night talk show host back the 70s and 80s chain smoked during his interviews (loved that guy's show). Would love to see a modern TV talk show host smoke on set.
I loved Tom Snyder's "Tomorrow Show" - "Fire up a colortini, sit back, relax, and watch the pictures now, as they fly through the air....". Go over to YouTube, and watch his Charie Manson interview.
Yeah, I remember when everybody smoked on TV. While you're over at YouTube, just look at a couple of the old "Playboy After Dark" shows (check out the Sammy Davis one, especially), everybody and their dog is smoking away, not to mention belting down the booze.
