More Dr.Sprocketness........

"I used to make my own single loop frames. Lot of guys early on loved to stick Knuckles in VL frames, but I didn't like cutting up VL frames. So, I made a few single loops that looked like Knuckles in the back, and VL's in the front."

Fitting a set of 3 1/2 gal. tankshift tanks to the single loop conversion.....
Installing the running gear........
You can see the good Dr.'s frame conversion made for a pretty nicely proportioned bike, even in the middle of this put-together.

  1. Rich, It's hard to believe that was 30 years ago. Time flys when your having fun. Rich P.S. Another coming off the table this week. An homage to Tom Burke and 3 others who set me on this path through life some 45 years ago.

  2. DrSprocket, I know what you mean. I was playing "Steppenwolf The Second" as I worked the other day, and I said to myself "Holee shit, this can't be. This album is over 40 years old". But, I could remember where I was, and what I was doing, and every word from the lyrics.

Do I get an exclusive on this bike?

  3. As a matter of fact you do. And I believe you'll be a little surprised I hope. Stay tuned.

  4. Dr., I like how you went to the trouble to make the axle brackets shaped like H-D did including the small tab/stop for the jiffy stand. Also the plate in the frame under the engine.
